Trondheim kunstmuseum is one of Norway’s leading art institutions and a regional center for contemporary art. The museum shows exhibitions from an impressive collection of more than 6,000 works of Norwegian and international art, such as works from Edvard Munch, Johan Fredrik Eckersberg og Hans Gude, as well as contemporary art exhibitions.
Trondheim kunstmuseum has two viewing locations. The museum’s main building in Bispegata is the museum’s main arena and is located next to Nidaros Cathedral. At Gråmølna in Trenerys gate by Nedre Elvehavn you will find works from the art donation Kunstgaven Håkon Bleken as well as exhibitions of the National Museum of Decorative Art and Design.
Trondheim kunstmuseum is part of Museene i Sør-Trøndelag (MiST)/The Museums of Southern Trøndelag—a key cultural player both nationally and regionally that plays an important role in society. MiST aims to put people at the center, focusing on cultural diversity, participation, and inclusion.
