Lecturer in Conceptual Art

With around 2100 Bachelor’s and Master’s students, the Zurich University of the Arts is one of the leading art universities in Europe. The diverse study and research programme covers the areas of design, film, fine arts, music, dance, theatre, mediation of the arts and transdisciplinarity. 

The Department of Fine Arts is recruiting the following position as of August 1 (or by arrangement) for the Master Fine Arts study programme:

Lecturer “Conceptual Art”, 50 percent
We are looking for a personality with a conceptual practice in the field of contemporary art. The level of employment consists 50 percent in teaching along with the participation in the academic self-governance and administration.

–Completed graduate degree on a master-level, excellent artistic practice with international exhibition and publication activity
–Teaching experience at the tertiary level
–Willingness to contribute to the development of the University of the Arts
–Engagement in strengthening the international and national reputation of the University of the Arts
–Commitment to innovative teaching (including co-teaching)

The position will initially be filled as a permanent lectureship. With appropriate qualifications, conversion to a full professorship may be considered. A very good knowledge of English is a prerequisite. Applicants, which cannot show knowledge in German, are required to acquire B1 level in their first year of employment. 

The salary complies with the pay regulations of the canton of Zurich. The place of work is Zurich.
